ESTEEM A Fashion Show

Wednesday, March 3, 2010
Grand Pavilion at the Dallas Trade Mart, Dallas Texas
Esteem – the newest event of The Elisa Project – is a celebration of positive body image held in conjunction with National Eating Disorders Awareness Week. Local celebrities will join girls and women, boys and men, of all ages and sizes, to embrace healthy, balanced lifestyles and self acceptance. By helping to increase awareness about eating disorders and the importance of positive body image, ESTEEM encourages people to love themselves while striving to be healthy.
WFAA newscaster Debbie Denmon will be Mistress of Ceremonies and Rhonda Sargent Chambers will be Fashion Show Chair. RSC Show Productions is the Fashion Show Producer and Becky Peacock Morris is the Fashion Coordinator. Fashions are provided by Saks Fifth Avenue at the Galleria, the venue by The Dallas Trade Mart, and Design by Everitt. Awareness Partners are SWADE (Spreading the Word About Disordered Eating) and Tri Delta Fraternity. Ticket prices for the event will be $75 for VIP seating, $25 for adults and $10 for students.
National Eating Disorders Awareness Week is intended ultimately to prevent eating disorders and body image issues while reducing the stigma surrounding eating disorders and improving access to treatment. Eating disorders are serious, life-threatening illnesses -- not choices -- and it's important to recognize the pressures, attitudes, and behaviors that shape these disorders.
